Humanists of the Treasure Coast was founded to provide fellow humanists, atheists, agnostics with a supportive community, and is a vehicle for transforming humanist values into action.

Humanists educate others about the positive values of Humanism.

We support legislation that reflects the Humanist values of Compassion Guided by Reason.

We support the separation of church and government.

Religious intolerance has been moderated somewhat by our secular constitution, however today’s humanists, atheists, and agnostics are still experiencing discrimination.

Military and civilian hospitals and hospices refuse to establish humanist secular support for their patients even though they admit that approximately 20% of their patients identify themselves as non-religious. When HUMTC does offer to provide support, health care facilities refuse to inform their patients that support from a secular humanist perspective is available.
