Secular humanists, atheists and agnostics need religious help.

Calling all Compassionate Christians, Jews and Muslims.

The non religious community needs your help to motivate the administrators at military and civilian hospitals and hospices to provide the same level of support for non religious patients as they provide to religious patients. We're not asking for special care, we want equal care.

While military and civilian health care facilities have theistically oriented, primarily Christian chaplains available, no USA health care facility that I am aware of, has clearly identified, humanist oriented non religious support for the 20% of their patients who identify themselves as not religious. It is no accident that cancer patients, wounded veterans, and hospitalized children who are not religious do not receive the same level of recognition and support as their religious counterparts.

To make matters worse, when Humanists of the Treasure Coast has offered to provide these services for free, health care administrators refuse to inform their patients that secular humanist support is available. I have witnessed this religious based discrimination in liberal New York, California and conservative Florida.

If you consider yourself to be a compassionate member of a religious group, I ask that you come forward and request that the military and civilian hospitals and hospices in your area meet their obligation to provide equally for their humanist oriented patients. Its the Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, compassionate thing to do. For more information as to how you can help, contact joebeck@humtc.com or (772) 934-6167.
